INTRODUCTION

The Department of Biomedical Engineering Technology offers National Diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology. The Department started ND Biomedical Engineering Technology in 2023/2024 Academic Session under the approval of NBTE. The students in the department specialize in ND Biomedical Engineering Technology.

The Department aims at training good future Medical Practitioners as well as preparing them to face the medical challenges in our Primary and secondary health care facilities.

PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the Department is to educate students to have sound knowledge of the discipline and to understand, analyze the various factors that influence Human Health and uses of Hospital facilities in the contemporary Health system. Students are trained to understand the diverse sectors in a Health system by participating and contributing to the strengthening of good health.

VISION

The Department aims to provide solutions to diverse health problems in our health facilities. This will adequately prepare students to serve in various capacities in our health facilities.

MISSION

The mission of the Department is to serve as the center of excellence in teaching, learning, research and community services.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

UTME: Candidates for admission into two two-year National Diploma Programme should possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or General Certificate of Education(WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB) or their equivalents with at least five credits obtained in not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and physic. An acceptable UTME Score as stipulated by the college is required for admission.
