The newly appointed sole administrator Dr Umar Mohammed assumed office after the swearing-in of the then Sole Administrator Gombe State College Of Health Sciences and Technology, Kaltungo Dr Ahmed Wali Doho.
Until his appointment as the acting provost Dr Umar Mohammed was a Reader ( associate professor) with the Department of Economic and Developmental Studies Federal University of Kashere in Gombe State. He is also Head of Department Economic and Developmental Studies Department and Director Academic Planning Federal University of Kashere in Gombe State.
Dr Umar is an administrator per excellent whose experience is known in the entire Gombe State and Nigeria at large. He once served at various capacities in the Nigerian Universities resources inspection organised and conducted by the Nigerian University Commission.
